    There is so much to tell about these wonderful courses. These courses are hybrid courses designed to provide the finest in hypnotherapy/hypno-counseling education in a format that meets the needs of your busy schedule.  The basic course is structured as follows.

1.       Starts with 3 days on campus for intensive hands on training

2.       Online Vista Blackboard learning and home study from video DVDs, CDs, Text and handouts (downloads)

3.       Concludes with 5 days on campus where graduating students work with actual subjects from the general population under instructor supervision (Practicum)

 

    After basic certification there is an advanced certification available to graduates (Home study prep followed by 6 days on campus) after which there is an instructors course available to graduates of the advanced certification  (Home study prep followed by 5 days on campus). Graduates of the instructor course are eligible to conduct the hands-on portion of the certification program for us in their respective geographical locations.

 

  Also, those who have certification from other organizations man submit their credentials for approval and if approved can take the advanced and then the instructor program. As well, those with credentials from other organizations can also elect to take take the 5 day hands on portion of the basic course as a “Practitioner’s Workshop” (without taking the entire course) and would receive a CEU certificate only. Those who have taken our DVD home study program (Not part of the college program), can then attend the 5 day practitioner’s workshop for practical hands on experience. Basic Certification Course Outline

 

Pre-Class Prep:

 

    Prior to the first scheduled class students are required to study their initial materials. They will then take a quiz to verify that in fact they have viewed the materials in advance of the first classroom meeting.

 

Module 1 Topics:

 

    Module 1 begins with an exciting 3 days of intensive hands on training with your instructor. Initial course topics teach the relationship between the conscious and the subconscious mind, myths and facts about hypnosis, the principles involved in inducing hypnosis, what can prevent hypnosis, client preparation and more! Students will learn how to use "direct suggestion" and “indirect suggestion” in making, waking hypnotic suggestion,  hypnotic and post-hypnotic suggestion, for uses in areas such as, weight management, stress management, smoking cessation etc. Students will learn about the different schools or thought and hypnotherapeutic methods. They will also learn how to induce hypnosis using "Rapid Induction" methods. The overall goal of this module is learning how to "induce hypnosis and make direct and indirect suggestion".

 

Module 2 Topics:

 

    This module focuses primarily on what is called the "Intake". The intake is important because it is the time within a hypnotherapy session where the hypnotherapist gathers the necessary information with which he or she will structure effective sessions for their client. Students will learn how to ask the right questions and how to convert that information into powerful suggestions during the hypnotherapeutic process. Students will also learn valuable skills in session structure. Additional rapid induction methods of inducing hypnosis as well as other specific hypnotherapeutic techniques will be covered.

 

Module 3 Topics:

    This module takes training to the next level. Additional "Rapid" and "Instant" induction methods will be added to student's toolbox.  Regression therapy, working with abreaction, basic pain management and additional specific therapies are covered (e.g. basics of working with groups, performance enhancement, fears, guilt management etc.). There is also a specific segment devoted to practice management and ethics. The reason for practice management training… Even if someone is a terrific hypnotherapist, he or she will only be able to help themselves and others if they can run a successful practice and make a respectable living. Advertising, office management etc. will be covered. As well, the future of the profession requires that members operate ethically and understand the standards expected by IMDHA, IHS and Bucks County Community College.

 

Module 4 Topics:

Final Stage to become a

"Certified Hypnotherapist"

 

    This module completes the basic certification process (Although some students will continue on by taking our advanced certification program). This module is a practicum. It is a 5 day intensive hands on module that begins with coaching and Q&A with your instructor. Next is the most exciting part. You will be practicing with volunteer subjects, from the general public, doing actual hypnotherapy sessions under the guidance and supervision of your course instructor (and staff). This is an important stepping stone between academic study and actual practice. Students often comment that this module gave them a tremendous boost in confidence prior to going into private practice. Students demonstrate proficiency in the skills that they have learned while receiving valuable feedback from the course instructor. As well, you will have the opportunity to ask questions concerning all material covered throughout all course modules.

    Are you a certified hypnotherapist with experience, knowledge, and the desire to pass your knowledge to others? Do you have what it takes to educate and mentor others? You may have what it takes to become an instructor of hypnotherapy.

             Learn proven instructional methods to become a great instructor of hypnotherapy. Graduates increase their own hypnotherapeutic abilities while learning to implement a well structured curriculum for students. Graduates become eligible to run programs for the Institute of Hypnosis Sciences or may conduct training for themselves or other organizations. Classroom structure, curriculum, student recordkeeping, exam administration, student support and follow-up, and much more, will all be covered.

 Prerequisite: Advanced certification in Hypnotherapy or basic certification and a minimum of 2 years professional experience. Acceptance of professional experience in place of an advanced certification is not guaranteed. It is contingent upon approval of course instructor.

 

History of the Program for Which You Can Receive Instructor Certification

 

                Over a  decade and ago Bucks College and Dr. Holder (Master’s Center and the Institute of Hypnosis Sciences Inc.) combined resources to bring a great hypnotherapy  certification course to the college. This was one of the first (if not the very first certification program), to be taken within the structure of a legitimate, fully accredited college. This situation is unique because graduates receive certification “directly from an accredited college” as well as from the Institute Of Hypnosis Sciences and the International Medical Dental Association. This translates into tremendous credibility and incredible marketing value to the instructor and an incredible layer of credibility to graduates.

 

What makes this instructor curriculum different?

 

                Instructor Certification Training is a 5 day program conducted on the campus of Bucks College. Upon successful completion graduates will be eligible to teach the hands-on portion of the course for IMDHA in your area.

 

Benefits To You, The Instructor

 

                * The instructor can focus on teaching. Your part is to provide a suitable location for the hands-on

                  portion of the course in your area, teach the hands-on portion of the curriculum as provided and

                  provide phone consultation to your group of students. That’s it! We do the rest. No grading of exams,

                  cumbersome paperwork etc.

                *  Bucks, IHS and IMDHA  do the paperwork,  record keeping and generate the certificates so that

                   students have availability to get copies of their records etc. without the need of the instructor to

                   keep track of the records and do other logistical duties.

                *  Bucks, IHS, and IMDHA handle the majority of business management freeing you to teach.

                * Although it is to the instructor’s benefit to generate students from their area, Bucks, IHS and

                  IMDHA do the lion’s share for marketing the course.

* Students take all exams on line saving precious class time for learning. Because they are graded by

                  the college’s computerized system, instructors have no exams to grade and students get instant

                  feedback on the results of their exams.

* You, the instructor, generate additional income and additional referral business.
